     The topic I am most interested in is the history and future of computers. Taking the time to learn about where we have come in the world of technology is so important! Even the history of invention a good use of your time when considering the importance of technology in our lives. Even though not everyone is going to have a career in IT, most everyone has a reason to learn about technology. Understanding the amount of time it has taken for humans to evolve their technology creates a more accurate picture in our minds of how much weight the Information Age and the age of technology holds. The access it provides to anyone who wants it is unbelievable when one observes the state of technology with that perspective. That is why I am so interested in the history as well as the future of computers. If our world of technology has evolved so quickly, who is to say it will stop progressing so fast! I am excited to see the ever-aggressive advancements in this industry and am curious where we will be in five, ten or even twenty years from now.

    The study of history has long been an inspiring source of innovation. Our greatest leaders typically attribute their own heroes and as we study the past and aspire to do great things, we will find the next breakthrough or the next chapter in our story. Learning about the challenges and problem-solving exhibited by those who have gone before can inspire a different chain of thought the will allow us to see things with new perspective and find more solutions to ever changing problems.

    When we talk about the future, I get really excited! The possibilities truly are endless, and the sky is not the limit, but the stars are the beginning of our future! The growth of artificial intelligence is only the start of another tremendous technology revolutions. I love learning about quantum computing and the potential that has. The human-computer connection is also making strides as pioneers of the industry take steps to further the progress we already have. Knowing future steps in the coming years of the technology revolution can set you up for career success or even anticipate where the industry will be when you retire. 

    Improving the integration of technology in our society has been a long road but it is still improving the lives of humans that need it. Modern tech has become an integral part of people’s lives that provides convenience and sometimes better quality of life in healthcare, in schools and even in entertainment. We can see how the convenience of technology allows us to focus more on other aspirations like helping other people and thinking less of ourselves.
